The Cunard Liner of Lusitania was torpedoed from the Old Head of Kinsale at the time of the First World War on 7 May 1915. Less than 800 survived among the 1959 passengers. In the Old Church Graveyard at Cobh were many buried.
Description
A burial ceremony at the old cemetery on May 10, 1915. A total of 169 of the 289 bodies recovered from the Lusitania were buried at the cemetery.
